Free Printable Download: The Blogger Planner

I try to go as paper free as I possibly can. It keeps me organized and keeps everything I need with me, at all times. This is super handy when it comes to emails, notes, kids ideas, and especially scheduling. One thing that I still can not shake though, is finding a way to stay creative digitally. I will always love writing out a list of what I have to do, full of ideas, crossing it off, and being able to easily write, erase, and switch things around. Currently, I use the To Do app on my phone for things on the go, but when it comes to my Home Life and my Blogging Life, I found that a traditional calendar wasn't cutting it.

I searched on the Internet for some sort of planner or printable that I could use to keep my blogging to do's on the forefront, but also remind me of things I needed done at home, like laundry, meetings, or a play date.

So I created my own little printable that I use everyday, The Blogger Planner. I also have one that transitions into Mompreneurs and Bloggers, but thought I would share the first one that I had used that helped me get organized, at home and online.

The Weekly Planner keeps me on top of my goals for the month, but also gives me space to break down each task to be able to reach that goal, week by week. I found this was a great way for me to visualize what needed to be done, rather than just putting my thoughts everywhere.

The Daily Planner seperates my tasks with things to do for Home and things to do for the Blog. Home things would include grocery shopping, soccer practice, and cleaning the bathrooms, while Blog would include things like blog commenting, new posts, scheduling social media, and watching a Google+ hangout.

One thing I also included for myself, was space to set aside time for me. Whether it is reading a book, going out for a jog, or a bubble bath in the evening. If I actually write down something that is only for me, I'm more likely to actually do it, and keep myself and my family sane.

Pressures of Being A Perfect Parent Due to Social Media (TV Interviews!!)

I don't know why it took me so long to post this! A couple of weeks ago, myself and other local mommy bloggers were chosen to come on the San Antonio Living Show to talk about how social media has been giving mother's a new place to feel pressure to be perfect. I can totally realate to this. Seeing other mother's blogs about how perfect their lives are, the different activities they do, and so on, make it hard to compare yourself to them. Now with Pinterest in the picture as well, things get even more complicated for the moms' psyches!

Check out our segment below! And be sure to check out the other fabulous mom blogs who I had the pleasure of meeting!!!

From Teen Mom to Work At Home Mom (Video)

If you didn't already know, I am currently enrolled in college online through Full Sail University in an amazing Internet Marketing program. I never finished my degree (blame baby number 1) and one day on Problogger.net I saw an ad for this school, checked it out, and fell in love!

With one of my classes this week, Digital Storytelling, one of our assignments was to use iMovie to create a story. This story could be about anything and a lot of my classmates were making it about themselves. So here is my project, From Teen Mom to Work At Home Mom! Enjoy this 2 minute little video of silliness and enjoy my story!

How To Be A Write At Home Mom (Tip 1 of 10)

I love writing. Being a freelance writer not only allows me to stay at home with my children, but gives me a chance to get my voice out in the world, published, and seen by an endless amount of people. I've also been working on a novel for the past year, and seeing it come together has been something beyond amazing.

Identity Crisis On Twitter

Struggling to find an identity is very common place when it comes to mothers. It can get even more complicated when it comes to Social Media Moms. For me, the problem has been the number of identities I think I can take on in social media. Not only have I started as a freelance writer, but I've gone to working with businesses, to writing ebooks, to just joining blogging communities online.

You have to sit there and really figure out who you are and where you fall into place.

The other day I was looking at my Twitter profile page, something I have not done in months, and I thought my description looked a little bit all over the place. I sat here at my desk and for the next hour, typed, backspaced, and typed again. I couldn't figure out how I wanted to describe myself to other people on the World Wide Web.

* If you look now at my Twitter account you'll see that I couldn't figure out what to change it to, so the same it remains!

To some people I am the local Mommy Blogger, to other's, I am their Social Media Mentor, while to most people who only occasionally visit my social networks, I'm the woman who write funny articles for their favorite blogs.

Do you struggle with an identity crisis when it comes to the Internet? What are some of your tips to working around it?

Google Chrome: A Mom Bloggers Dream

I've been spending more time on the computer lately. My Macbook Pro is still huge, but I've implemented a new way to love it. I have been using Safari for the longest time, but lately it hasn't been cutting it for me. The spell check has been weird for me, and most of the time it hasn't been playing a lot of the videos. Even worse, it has been slow. With 2 kids who are addicted to Netflix as much as I am, that's a huge no no.

Firefox is also "blah" for me. It just doesn't have the cool feel to it. I know, I'm super judgmental. You can bring that up with me some other day.

I've had Google Chrome on my desktop for some time and love using it because it seems to be faster than the other Internet browsers. Yesterday though, I decided to really check it out.

I am in love with the Web Store. Just like with the Apple, they have a little App Store. The cool thing about Google Chrome is that you can download Apps and Extensions that will work with your web browser. I like this because it doesn't take up space on my actually computer. It doesn't take up memory on my hard drive making my computer even slower. It's all on the web browser.

The extensions are what I love the most because they make blogging and social networking 100 times easier  I'm a Google Addict, so I use gmail, google calendar, docs, all of them, and they are all easily accessible in my browser.

In addition I can also update all of my Twitter feeds and check on Facebook in a second.

Shorten links, chat with friends, stay updated on tasks, all right in my web browser.

I also made my iGoogle page my home page, with the beautiful Teen Wolf as my background. Again, you can judge me later.

Needless to say, these Apps and Extensions not only save me from the headache of multiple items open on my desktop, but make me extremely more productive.

Gracias Google Chrome!
