Half Off Pizza? Yes Puh-lease!

Juice in the City has finally launched in San Antonio! Check to see if they are in your town as well! Today they have finally launched their first deal with Fralo's Art of Pizza. Now I have not been here personally myself, but have heard only great things about this place from friends and my very own sister who goes there all the time.

If you haven't read here before about how I'm trying to use a budget this summer and find ways to still have fun but save for our house, this deal comes at a perfect time. My 4 year old loves anything pizza, and I love eating out! What a great combination!

I'll probably really end up using this deal though with the husband so that he ends up paying the rest, not me :-)

So really, this is a one day deal San Antonio Moms, so get it before it's gone!

Juice in the City's First Deal. Are you ready?

I've talked about Juice in the City before, and I should warn you, I'm planning on writing plenty about them because not only am I blogging for them, but am super excited about all the great deals coming up for the summer for us Moms! I'm especially excited because it is going to be the summer time, and I've just adopted a new money system to try and budget and save money. Our goal is to move into a house in the late fall, so we are trying to save every penny we possibly can to get our funds in order.

Having the kids, and trying to keep up with date nights, Juice in the City is going to be perfect and just in time! They officially launch this Tuesday, May 31, and their first deal will be with Fralo's! I have never been to Fralo's but have heard nothing but awesome things, so I'm excited to either use that deal for the kids and I or for when we go out on date night.

You do not want to miss out on all the great deals coming up  so sign up now!

Sleep. It must be nice.

Our morning faces. 7AM doesn't look good on me, but Happy 1st Birthday to my AddyBaby!

I don't think I remember what sleep is exactly. From what I hear, it's this event where people actually get to rest for a full 8 hours. I think it's when eyes are closed, and you lay down in this thing called a bed. I thought the bad was just this really big place to hold my laptop as I worked until the wee hours of the morning.

hmmmm, what is this thing called sleep??

I can't really complain though. I never knew that when I started blogging that I would be writing ebooks, planning an online conference, and running a blogging website. I can't really begin to explain how exciting this is, as well as how grateful I am that people take the time to be interested in the things that I am doing across the blogosphere. It really is humbling and I'm honored to be doing what I'm doing.

Not to mention I'm taking classes to finish up my degree online.

What makes me miss out on this thing called sleep is that I try to do most of my writing and computer time after my kiddos get to bed. It's very easy for me to hop on the computer while at the park or kitchen table with my children and get so distracted with everything that I've spent nearly 2 hours glued to the screen while my kids just give me that "Uh Hello!?" look. So I've learned with my ADD (not diagnosed but probably should get that tested at a doctors office fairly soon) that my best bet to get work done, and not neglect my children, is work into the wee hours of the night/morning.

My addiction to red bull and mochas sure help fuel this lifestyle.

Juice In The City - Coming to San Antonio!

I am a huge fan of discount of websites. Groupon, Living Social, Daily Deals, they all have my e-mail address and every morning I'm flooded with decisions of who gets my money for what.  So when I heard about Juice in the City, I have to say I was a little bit skeptical.

That's until I actually clicked on the site. Just like I suspected, Juice in the City offers great deals like other bargain websites, but the main difference is who runs the site. Moms. You read it right, mothers! What an amazing idea!

I can't tell you how many times I delete one of these "deals" in my inbox because it's something that I can't use, don't care for, or isn't kid friendly. With Juice in the City though, their deals are chosen by Mothers, for Mothers.

These Moms, also known as Local Business Consultants (love it!) work with local businesses to bring you amazing discounts. There are no "caps" and no need to worry if you will get the deal or not. If you buy it, it's yours!

There honestly is no other opinion you can trust more than a fellow mom. We are known to be picky, voice our opinions, and expect the best! That's how I know Juice in the City will be an amazing addition to the San Antonio scene.

Visit their site here, sign up, and wait for the deals to roll in. You can also add them on Facebook and Twitter to follow their updates and be the first one to know about what deals are going on.

Mommy, Do You Like That Boy??

Truly: Mommy, do you like that boy??
Me : Which one? (searching for the sweet n low packets for my coffee)
Truly: That one. With the hair! (pointing at older man with purple mowhawk)
Me: What?! No (moves her finger down from the air)
Truly: Why??? He's so cool. I mean. Look. Look Mommy!! (pointing) You like him..... (grinning. and still pointing)
Me: Truly! Stop it. (smiling and apologizing. that "i'm so sorry smile") I don't, now be quiet.
Truly: Ok fine...... But you like Jacob.
Me: Ugh... who is Jacob?
Truly: You know, Jacobbbb. On the motorcycle? You like him.
Me: Okay, fine Truly. Yes, I like him (continues to drink coffee from styrofoam cup)
Truly: Yup, I know. He's so beautiful. ( looks around trying to grab my cup) I don't like Edward though. Addy can have Edward.

I check the time on my phone, and see the Jacob on the motorcycle picture as my background, from Twilight.

I thought I'd have a little more time before we started talking boys!

I'll Soon Be Able To Kick Your Butt

I'm super excited today as I eagerly await my first package to start my Fitness Certification and Nutritional Specialist Certification classes.

I've always loved fitness. Even though I've struggled a little bit with having two kids and working as much as I do, it's something I've never lost sight of.

I'm not looking for a career as the world's best personal trainer, but adding an additional income stream of either working with a couple of clients a month, working with children, or starting a website for fitness trainers or women seeking fitness help, seems like a great way to spend my time.

I'm doing a home study for my certification instead of workshops or physical classes because:
1) I don't have the time to spend my entire weekend at a school for personal training. My daughters would simply torture the poor soul watching them.

2) We've had a membership to Lifetime Fitness for over 3 years now here in San Antonio, and what we pay them for our membership, along with additional fees for all the fun classes TrulyBear is signed up in, I pretty much have all the resources I'll need there.

I love fitness, but it is the formal, technical information I'm missing and I'm so looking forward to starting and learning about a new lifestyle for myself and my family!
